Yoshimura recently introduced its all-new RS-12 exhaust system, which is now available for a selection of models.

In this guide, we cover five things you should know about it.

All-new design: The RS-12 is a completely new exhaust system from Yoshimura which is now finally available for the public. The system was first rolled out on the factory Suzuki’s in Supercross and Pro Motocross, and more recently on the all-new 2021 Honda CRF450R Works Edition. The previous RS-4 and RS-9 systems were amongst the most popular exhaust systems, and they’ve overhauled an already strong package by introducing the RS-12. It uses an asymmetrically shaped muffler and works-look matte carbon fibre end cap.

Boost in performance: Any time you look into an exhaust system, you want a performance increase - and that’s exactly what you get with the Yoshimura RS-12. Not only do you get a performance gain, there’s also a significant weight reduction over your standard OEM exhaust, which will provide a performance advantage.

Increased mass centralization: The Yoshimura RS-12’s unique tapered muffler body inlet improves mass centralization, allowing the exhaust system to be pushed forward down the bike. This will offer an advantage to your dirt bike’s handling.

Made in the USA: Yoshimura makes its RS-12 in the USA, so you know you’re getting a quality product when investing so much money. The RS-12 is a high-quality component and the finish of it is enough to justify the price, which is still more affordable than other brands on the market.

Expanding range: The RS-12 is currently only available for a select few models, but Yoshimura is expanding its range and making it available for more of the latest four-stroke dirt bikes. If it's not available for your latest generation, hang tight!
