MXstore: Naming Rights Sponsor for 2019 Australian MXoN Team
Quality accessories are a must for any rider, so Australia’s elite Motocross riders are in good hands ahead of the 2019 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) in the Netherlands after MXstore proudly signed on as the naming-rights sponsor for Team Australia.
MXstore is Australia’s largest online Motocross gear and accessories store, providing thousands of riders around the world with great value, quality and service.
MXstore Team Australia will jet off to Assen, Netherlands for the two-day event starting on September 28 in the hope of becoming the first Aussie outfit to win the prestigious title.
Motorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle said establishing this partnership with an industry giant in MXstore gives Team Australia a massive boost as it prepares to do battle with 31 other nations at the biggest MX event in the world.
“MXstore’s support couldn’t come at a better time, the Australian team result has been on the improve over the last few years and MXstore’s support should only strengthen the team.
We can’t thank the MXstore team enough for showing great faith in our riders.”
The Australian team for the 2019 Motocross of Nations in Assen consists of Dean Ferris, Regan Duffy, and Kyle Webster. Mitch Evans was initially named in the team for the MX Open class, but was forced to withdraw due to ongoing injury concerns, with the highly touted Duffy being called up to replace him, despite being just 17 years of age.
"I'm extremely excited and proud to be selected for the Australian Motocross of Nations team. This event is regarded as the Olympics of motocross, and being selected at such a young age is a huge achievement for me. Hopefully, I can get over there in the deep sand at Assen and do Australia proud", said Duffy on being selected to race his first Motocross of Nations for Australia.
Accompanying Duffy on the 450 will be none other than 3x Australian MX Nationals Champion Dean Ferris, who will be riding for Australia for a sixth time, this time in the MXGP class.
"So excited to be riding for team Australia once again this year at the Motocross of Nations. It's my sixth time representing our country but I still feel like a kid in a candy store when I get the call up" said Ferris on his selection. "Preparation has been good, I've been going hard at it for weeks and I'm looking forward to testing myself against the best in the world."
The third and final member of Team Australia will be Kyle Webster, who will be riding in the MX2 class. Along with Duffy, Webster is making his debut for Australia, coming off an extremely strong MX2 campaign in the 2019 MX Nationals series, where he finished a close second behind Wilson Todd.
"I'm beyond excited to apart of Team Australia at this years Motocross of Nations," said Webster when he learned of his selection. "It's always been a dream of mine and I'm honoured to be able to represent the best country in the world. I cannot wait to get over there and give it my all".
Whilst injuries have certainly played a part in the team selection for this years event, Team Australia is extremely confident heading into the prestigious event, banking on the experience of Ferris and the raw sand speed of Webster and Duffy to get the boys home strong. MXstore will be there to cover every step of the journey, and we couldn't be more excited to be involved.
MXstore’s Director Jake Alberts said the partnership with the Australian MXoN Team is one of the proudest moments for the company, reinforcing not only the support of our Australian racers but the support of the Australian Dirt Bike industry as a whole.
“MXstore prides itself on being able to give back to our sport here in Australia, so aligning ourselves with the Australian MXoN program made perfect sense for us. These guys are doing an amazing job of driving our sport not only here in Australia, but around the world as well.
We couldn’t be happier to be involved with the team and look forward to supporting our Aussie riders as they go head to head with the best in the world.”
