Maxima 927 Ride Day 2023 | Cessnock NSW

The MXstore team headed south to one of NSW's best tracks located in Cessnock NSW for the Maxima 927 Ride Day! Roughly an 8 hour drive from our headquarters here on the Gold Coast, the team was eager to see the track, catch up with industry partners and fellow 2-stroke frothers. As we pulled into the gates there were a few excited riders already setting up which included the likes of X Games Gold Medalist Corey Creed, current AORC points leader Josh Green, Former Pro Motocross Racer Danny Ham, and Freeride rider John Prutti. On top of that, we got to feast our eyes on some of the nicest bikes and as the morning continued there were hundreds of bikes rolling in, with most of them looking like they had just rolled off the showroom floor. The track was perfectly prepped and watered, and with riding starting at 9 you can guarantee we couldn't wait for the day to start!

Maxima's 927 Ride Day?

Chances are if you've ever owned or ridden a 2 stroke you've heard or used Maxima's 927 Castor Oil. The distinct smell left on the track all while being a high performance engine oil, there's no surprise behind the success of this oil in the world of 2 strokes! Maxima started an annual ride day falling on September 27th (9th Month + 27th Day = 927) celebrating their famous oil. The ride day is a day giving back to the moto community with Maxima covering everyone's entry to the event along with a free sausage sizzle and a Maxima goodie bag. Now riding isn't the only attraction to this epic day, the bikes, the people, the sound and smell along with the good times make this an event you don't want to miss.

Our day in Cessnock was an absolute treat whether we were riding or spectating because who doesn't love the sound and smell of a 2 stroke running on 927 Castor Oil? The first Ride Day began in America and thankfully expanded crossing the globe being celebrated down under with Australia's first event in 2022 at Cessnock. In 2023 we saw Maxima's 927 Ride Day celebrated in 2 epic locations, Cessnock NSW and Rosebud VIC with both events being sold out. We are excited for more locations to be added in 2024, so make sure you save the date and we hope to see you at the next one!
