What is a Super Mini 65?

There is no doubt 65cc 2 strokes are absolute weapons for kids these days and the power to weight ratio is out of this world! However, for kids jumping from a 65 to an 85 there is quite a substantial change and the transition can be daunting for some. On top of that kids are generally taller and are able to race a 65 until the age of 12, so there is a need to make the bike more comfortable and fit a larger rider for those wanting to continue riding a 65 or for those wanting to ease the transition to an 85 small wheel. For this Bike Build, we are taking a standard 2022 GasGas MC65 and turning it into a Krooztune super 65. Increasing the ride height, improving the handling and comfort using a bunch of hand-picked parts from Krooztune!

If you didn't know Krooztune is an established engineering and suspension tuning company based in Victoria who have been in the industry for over 30 years dealing with not only motocross but road bikes, Aus Superbikes, and offroad as well as working closely with race teams like CDR Yamaha and Honda Racing Australia! These guys mean business and their inhouse hard parts brand KroozR is a testament to their years of research and development with an array of parts to suit each discipline. We used a variety of KroozR parts on this MC65 to turn it into a Super Mini 65.

Parts Used and Why?:

Upgrades we used:

• Tank, seat, and subframe lift kit -  This kit will improve big rider comfort opening up the rider cockpit triangle by 20mm+.  Easier sit to stand, less cramped knees and more importantly more rider comfort over the longer motos.
• Handlebar risers - Suiting the lift kit to improve rider comfort for the bigger rider by 20mm.
• Extended fork axel lugs - increases the front end ride height by 25mm.
• Air to spring conversion with the WP35 fork flo kit - transform the OEM WP35 system into a plush action allowing less rider fatigue, improved turn in, and more stability across bumpy terrain.
• Extended swing-arm - increases the rear ride height by 20mm and extends the wheelbase by 25mm to help with stability at higher speeds.
• Rear shock pro piston kit together with a gas bladder - Converts your WP40 shock to a Bladder nitrogen system allowing the shock to perform at a high 'Factory' Level.

All the modifications in conjunction with each other have completely transformed this 65! They have allowed the rider to feel more confident and ride the bike to its full potential and when the rider is ready the 85 won't feel like such a massive change!
